Job Requirements
Experience Requirements
Experience: 2–4 years of experience in golf course maintenance, with preference given to prior supervisory or specialized technician roles.
Educational Requirements
• Education: A 2-to-4-year degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Licensing: Possession of (or the ability to obtain within 90 days) a valid State Pesticide Applicator License.
• Technical Skills: General proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Word, irrigation central control systems, and complex mechanical equipment.
• Professional Affiliation: Current membership (or a path toward it) in the GCSAA or local regional chapters.
• Licensing: Possession of (or the ability to obtain within 90 days) a valid State Pesticide Applicator License.
• Technical Skills: General proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Word, irrigation central control systems, and complex mechanical equipment.

Special Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
• Crew Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise the daily tasks of the grounds crew, foremen, and technicians.
• Agronomic Applications: Calibrate, operate, and track chemical and fertilizer sprayers in compliance with safety regulations.
• Irrigation Management: Oversee moisture monitoring, hand watering, scheduling, system troubleshooting, and hardware repairs.
• Course Preparation: Manage daily course setup, tournament preparation, and conditioning standards to ensure top playability.
• Administrative Support: Assist with recordkeeping, safety training documentation, and managing operating and capital budgets.
