Job Details
Position Overview:
This person will be training with current superintendent the remainder of the 2026 season and taking over as superintendent in 2027. Individual must be an experienced Assistant who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Direct all aspects of turf grass maintenance and daily operations for Quarry Ridge Golf Course.
· Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic plans aligned with seasonal and long-term goals.
· Lead, mentor, and manage a skilled maintenance team, including the Assistant Superintendent and seasonal staff.
· Collaborate with ownership to enhance course conditions and customer experience.
· Oversee irrigation system operation, scheduling, troubleshooting and repair
· Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards related to pesticide applications and environmental practices. Must have license.
· Operate within a set budget and assist in long-range planning for equipment and infrastructure needs.
· Must have some mechanical knowledge
Job Benefits
Negotiable. Salary will increase once named Superintendent in 2026.
Job Requirements
3-5 years Assistant Superintendent experience
Supervisory, coaching and staff development experience required
Experience in producing excellent playing conditions
A two-year college degree is preferred but not required
Spray Tech Certified and Irrigation Knowledge
Knowledge of local, federal, and state laws and regulations affecting management of golf course operations.
Must have a strong business aptitude and passion for the golf business
Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
Must be highly organized and efficient with a high attention to detail
Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Must have basic computer skills
Associates degree in Turfgrass Management preferred but not required for the right hard working individual.
