The Connecticut Golf Club, opened in 1966, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and commitment to excellence, is seeking a skilled Equipment Manager to join our dedicated team. As a premier destination for golf enthusiasts, we prioritize maintaining our equipment and facilities at the highest standards.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on golf course equipment, including mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.

 • Diagnose mechanical issues, troubleshoot, and implement efficient solutions to ensure optimal performance.

 • Conduct preventive maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce downtime.

 • Collaborate with the groundskeeping team to schedule maintenance tasks that align with course operations.

 • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and equipment condition.

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements

Qualifications:

 • Proven experience as a golf course mechanic or similar role.

 • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing small engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.

 • Strong knowledge of turf equipment and golf course machinery.

 • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

 • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

 • Can use a foley grinder for bed-knives and reels. ( Willing to Train if not experienced in grinding)

Educational Requirements

Requirements:


High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.


Valid driver’s license.


Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and perform tasks in various weather conditions.


Able to stand for many hours on your feet and multitask according to golf course needs.


Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Understanding of how equipment performance affects course conditions.
