Assistant Superintendent
Job Details
The Connecticut Golf Club of Easton Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join their golf course maintenance team. Created in 1966 by Mr. Lawrence Wien and course architect, Geoffrey Cornish, the Club's mission is unchanged: to provide a golf retreat in the middle of a stunning New England landscape, far removed from the busyness of daily life. One of the great assets of the Club is its greens. With a great variety of contours, sizes, shapes, and multiple elevations, the greens at The Connecticut Golf Club give the golfer a variety of different looks when putting and hitting into the green. The terrain in southwestern Connecticut provided Geoffrey Cornish with the opportunity to design a course nestled away amid a rugged, and undeveloped, New England landscape. The club will be hosting the 2026 Westchester Open and the 2035 Connecticut State Open.
The chosen candidate will play a vital role in the team, actively participating in daily maintenance operations and special projects. They will gain valuable experience with the club's advanced maintenance practices and environmental stewardship. This position offers excellent career development opportunities, with mentorship from the Director of Grounds, Vincent Taylor II, preparing the candidate for future leadership roles in golf course management.
