The Carolina Club, located in Grandy, North Carolina, just minutes from the Outer Banks,  is a popular 18-hole public golf facility known for its playable layout, exceptional playing conditions, and welcoming atmosphere. Avoid the complication of greens committees and corporate regulations by joining us in our 30 year family owned operation.

Our company is seeking a motivated individual with strong leadership skills, a hands-on work ethic, and expertise in bermudagrass fairways and bentgrass greens management. Must hold a NC pesticide license. We require a motivated professional with a positive attitude and a “lead-by-example” mentality—someone who takes pride in their work and inspires excellence in others.

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements


Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.


Strong agronomic background with proven success managing warm-season and cool-season turfgrasses.


Must possess a North Carolina Pesticide Applicator License.


Strong organizational and leadership skills with a proactive, team-oriented mindset.


Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.


 

Educational Requirements

Turfgrass management degree preferred, but not required.

Special Requirements

Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to excellence.

 


Direct and participate in all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic programs.


Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance staff to ensure efficient and consistent course conditioning.


Manage the care of bermudagrass fairways, bentgrass greens, roughs, tees, and landscaping.


Calibrate and apply fertilizers and pesticides safely and effectively.


Maintain and troubleshoot irrigation systems and pumps.


Prepare annual budgets and manage expenses responsibly.


Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.


Communicate effectively with ownership and golf operations staff to meet course standards and goals.
