Key Responsibilities
- Can assist with training operators on the proper use of the equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
- Performs routine maintenance checks to identify repairs necessary for proper operation of all equipment.
- Completes repairs and routine preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
- Grind reels as needed.
- Operation of all equipment.
- Opportunity to hire, train, and develop assistant mechanics.
- Maintains the records associated with the maintenance and repair of the equipment.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
- Along with assistant mechanic, check all reel mowers after every use to ensure proper quality and height of cut.
- Communicate with the Superintendent regarding equipment or shop issues and problems.

Job Requirements
Experience Requirements
3-5 years as an Assistant Equipment Technician, Equipment Technician, or Equipment Manager
Special Requirements
Have an approachable attitude.
Self-driven and performs well in an environment where taking initiative and proactivity is encouraged.
Problem-solving ability with a focus on resourcefulness.
Takes pride in their work with high level attention to detail.
Has working knowledge of light and heavy golf maintenance equipment.
Skilled in the use of equipment repair tools and making mechanical repairs.
Has working knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions while repairing equipment.
Communicates effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization.
Can adapt quickly in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Practice excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Work independently in the absence of supervision.
An understanding of the game of golf is helpful, but not necessary.
