Irrigation Manager
Job Details
Summary:
Will exhibit proficiency in all tasks associated with the daily care and maintenance of a private upscale community. The position will have a primary focus on irrigation repair, maintenance and supervision of irrigation technicians while maintaining the community’s appearance to Quail West standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Will support all training activities with this department to ensure consistency throughout the community.
- Will perform all duties in a safe operating manner while wearing all required safety equipment.
- Will operate, audit, and program Rain Bird Cirrus Irrigation System.
- Will schedule tasks and supervise Irrigation Technicians.
- Will assist Grounds Manager with supervision of Irrigation Contractors.
- Will order and maintain all parts inventory.
- Will hand water new plantings and perform wet checks.
- Will adjust and repair irrigation system as needed.
- Will perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements
Experience Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum 5 years of hands on experience in commercial, golf course or agricultural related irrigation.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Educational Requirements
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, but must have hands-on experience in commercial, golf course or agricultural related irrigation, including a minimum of two-years experience in a supervisory or lead role.
Special Requirements
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, stand and lift up to 50 pounds.
Requires individual to spend long periods of time on their feet, walking, standing, or stooping.
Must be compliant with and actively support a drug free workplace.
Will comply with all safety procedures, requirements, and regulations.
Will work every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday 6 am-9 am shift
Must be well groomed and maintain a neat, clean, and well-kept physical appearance.
