Assistant Superintendent
Job Details
Brookfield Country Club is seeking a Senior Assistant Superintendent who is ready to take on meaningful responsibility and advance both within the club and the golf course industry. This position is intentionally structured for forward movement, with a proven track record of advancement. The previous Senior Assistant Superintendent at Brookfield was promoted to Golf Course Superintendent, and the next individual in this role is expected to follow a similar path.
This is a leadership role with autonomy over day-to-day golf course operations. The Senior Assistant Superintendent will be trusted to manage daily execution while actively participating in agronomic planning and decision making alongside the Superintendent.
Afternoons are intentionally dedicated to greens moisture management and planning, executed within an agronomic framework built on the same practices used at the highest levels of the industry. The goal is to develop systems, decision-making skills, and leadership habits that can be carried directly into a first Superintendent role.
Responsibilities include daily operations oversight, staff leadership and development, execution of cultural practices and spray programs, course setup, tournament preparation, and involvement with irrigation system operation and maintenance. Experience with Rain Bird irrigation systems is helpful but not required.
Seasonal workload expectations are 50–70 hours per week during the golf season. The ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays, is required.
