Assistant Superintendent

About the Position:

The Bounty Club is seeking a dedicated, professional, and collaborative individual who is passionate about the golf industry. As part of the Agronomy leadership team, this role will be instrumental in managing the agronomic calendar and overseeing all daily operations. Joining the founding management team provides a rare opportunity to help shape and establish the Bounty Club from inception. The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a forward-thinking, innovative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations to ensure the golf course and grounds meet the highest standards.
  • Supervise and train grounds crew in maintenance, landscaping, irrigation, and course setup.
  • Works closely with the Superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term agronomic plans.
  • Monitor turf conditions, implement best practices in agronomy, pest control, and disease management.
  • Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with planning and executing special events or tournaments.
  • Oversee record-keeping for chemical applications, water usage, and course expenditures.
  • Ensure all work complies with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Possess a positive attitude and have high attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and club members in a professional manner.

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements


2+ years of progressive experience in golf course or sports turf management.


Valid Tennessee Pesticide Applicator’s license (or ability to obtain within 90 days).


Knowledge of golf course equipment operation and maintenance.


Familiarity with modern irrigation systems and troubleshooting.


Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.


Educational Requirements

Degree or certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field.
