The agronomy team at Whitford Country Club is looking to expand their team. Last winter, Our private, 18-hole course underwent exciting renovations led by Mottin Golf and renowned architect Jim Nagle, making this the perfect opportunity to be part of a dynamic transformation. Many projects for 2026 are currently underway and will continue throughout the spring.

We’re seeking a passionate Assistant Superintendent in Training to work alongside our Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents, gaining hands-on experience in high-level golf course management. About Us:

• 18 Hole golf course with double sided range and practice area
• Full Tennis and racquets facility with stand alone clubhouse
• Pool and Aquatics area
• John Deere and Toro Equipment. (John Deere Lease package)
• New Two- Wire Rainbird Irrigation system with Cirus Pro

What You’ll Do:

• Turf & Landscape Management – Mowing, edging, fertilizing, and maintaining pristine course conditions.
• Irrigation & Water Management – Monitoring, operating, and repairing the irrigation system for peak performance.
• Bunker & Course Setup – Ensuring bunkers are top-notch and the course is ready every day.
• Equipment Operation & Maintenance – Handling mowers, trimmers, and utility vehicles while keeping them in good condition.
• Pest & Weed Control – Implementing best practices to maintain a healthy, thriving turf.
• Leadership & Management Training – Leading small crews, assisting with projects, and gaining behind-the-scenes operational knowledge.

What We’re Looking For:

✔ Previous experience in turf management, landscaping, or grounds maintenance preferred but not required.
✔ Knowledge of irrigation systems and golf course equipment is a plus.
✔ Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for outdoor work.
✔ Ability to thrive in a team environment while taking initiative.
✔ Willingness to learn, grow, and take the next step in your turf career!
