Irrigation Technician

Duties

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions, ensuring efficient water usage.
• Assist with hand watering and moisture management as needed.
• Operate construction equipment safely during system installation or upgrades, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, system adjustments, and maintenance activities for operational efficiency.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps and irrigation infrastructure
• Support general golf course maintenance operations when required.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and organization of tools and equipment.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose and repair irrigation systems and related equipment.
• Experience with irrigation systems, lawn care practices, landscape maintenance, and general landscaping techniques.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators.
• Knowledge of agronomic principles relevant to turf management and plant health.
• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in outdoor environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
