About the Role
McMinnville Country Club is seeking an experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead all turf, grounds, and maintenance operations. This role ensures top‑tier playing conditions, strong staff leadership, and efficient management of resources and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all golf course maintenance, turf care, irrigation, and landscaping.
- Develop agronomic programs including fertilization, pest control, aeration, and mowing.
- Lead and train grounds staff; manage daily assignments.
- Maintain and repair equipment; coordinate with vendors as needed.
- Monitor course conditions and respond to weather, disease, or pest issues.
- Manage maintenance budgets and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
- 3–5 years of golf course maintenance experience.
- Tennessee Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain within 3 months).
- Strong knowledge of turfgrass, irrigation, and pest management.
- Leadership, communication, and budgeting skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred: CGCS certification, rural‑course experience, familiarity with modern irrigation/agrichemical technologies.
